Henry is a small town on the west bank of the Illinois River in Marshall County, Illinois. It is the kind of place where you can walk downtown, fish off the riverfront and know the people at the grocery store.
On the river
The Illinois River runs along the east side of town. Henry has a marina and a riverfront park, and people come for boating, fishing and waterfowl hunting.
Getting around
Illinois Route 29 runs through Henry along the river, and Route 18 crosses the river here. Lacon and Chillicothe are to the south, with Peoria beyond them.
Everyday needs
Henry has its own schools, a grocery store, restaurants, churches and a public library. Larger stores and hospitals are in Peoria and in the Peru and LaSalle area.
